Using the library
Is PromptDawn free to use?
Yes. Searching, previewing and copying every prompt in the library is completely free, and you do not need an account. Favourites are saved in your browser.
How do I copy the caption and hashtags?
Every prompt page has one-click buttons for the prompt, the negative prompt, the caption, the Instagram caption and the hashtag set — plus Copy Everything, which puts the full package on your clipboard at once.
How often is the library updated?
New prompts are added continuously and existing ones are revisited whenever a major model version ships. The Latest page always shows what changed most recently.
Do I need an account to save favourites?
No. Favourites are stored in your own browser, which is why there is no sign-up wall anywhere on the site. Clearing your browser data clears your saved prompts.
Licensing
Can I use these prompts commercially?
Yes. Prompts may be used for personal and commercial projects, including client work and monetised social content. Rights over the images or videos you generate are governed by the terms of the AI model you use.
Models
Which AI models do these prompts work with?
Every prompt page lists the models it has been tested against — Midjourney, Flux, ChatGPT Image, Gemini, Stable Diffusion, Ideogram, Leonardo AI, Adobe Firefly for images, and Runway, Kling, Veo, Luma and Pika for video.
Why does my result look different from the preview?
AI models are probabilistic and change with every version. Preview art communicates the composition and mood a prompt is designed to produce; your generation will differ. Following the recommended settings on each page gets you closest.
Prompting
What is a negative prompt and do I need one?
A negative prompt steers the model away from specific failure modes — plastic skin, extra fingers, cluttered backgrounds. Diffusion models use them heavily; some newer conversational models mostly ignore them. Each prompt ships with a negative prompt written for that specific image.
Community
Can I submit my own prompt?
Please do. Send it through the contact page with the model you used and a note on what makes it work. Published submissions are credited to you on a creator page.
Do you offer an API?
Not publicly yet. The site exposes a read-only JSON endpoint for its own front end, and a proper documented API is on the roadmap. Get in touch through the contact page if you have a use case.
